Rosslyn School

WElcome to Rosslyn School Well qualified, committed and dedicated staff provide extensive learning opportunities that extend and build upon previously acquired knowledge.

A range of visits to places of educational interest support children’s learning throughout the year which adds depth and breath to studies beyond the classroom.

The curriculum is broad, balanced and designed to provide a good academic grounding to prepare children for their Secondary education. It reflects the requirements of the National Curriculum and ensures all children, regardless of ability, race or creed receive the education they are entitled to.

There is a strong emphasis on preparation for entrance examinations for Grammar schools and other leading senior schools.

Our excellent results and impressive number of scholarships awarded reflects our continued high standards of achievement.

Children continue to study the three core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science, with many working at a level above that expected for their age.

In addition, further knowledge is developed and extended in the foundation subjects of Design and Technology, Information and Communication Technology, History, Geography, French, Art and Design, Music, Physical Education and Citizenship. Religious Education follows the Birmingham agreed Syllabus. Specialist teachers take each class for Physical Education, French and Music lessons.
